Bloomberg reports, “LSU, Alabama, USC Among Top College Football Recruiting Classes“.

Just take a look at the LSU football recruits in the Rivals.com Top 100. Wow!…and then, take a look at the rest of the LSU recruits in the Rivals Top 250. Good things ahead for Tiger Football, that is for sure.

So, who was #1? Well, Bloomberg adds, “LSU finished first in recruiting rankings by ESPN’s Scouts Inc. and the Prep Football Report, while Alabama passed its Southeastern Conference rival yesterday to claim Rivals.com’s title of the unofficial top class.”

Congratulations to all 250 RECRUITS and SCHOOLS!

LSU BEATS GEORGIA TECH!

LSU on their first kickoff

The LA Times reported the “LSU routs Georgia Tech…in a surprisingly easy 38-3 victory win”. That about sums it up. It was not much of a game as Georgia Tech seemed like a deer in headlights, especially after the LSU onside kick that LSU recovered (no that is not the play pictured, though it looked similar). It was all LSU for sure.

Congratulations, Tigers!

Have a SAFE and Happy New Year!

WHAT! LSU Loses Eating Contest to Georgia Tech?

footballfoodA bit of disappointing news reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, “In one of several unofficial pre-bowl competitions leading to the Chick-fil-A bowl, players from Georgia Tech showed a healthy appetite. At Fire of Brazil steakhouse in Buckhead, the Jackets wolfed down 610 pounds of meat in 90 minutes, out-eating LSU’s team, which ate 575 pounds.”

Well, the Taste of Louisiana Cafe can only say to the LSU Football players, “Start practicing for next year by paying us a visit and enjoy some of our Delicious Acclaimed BURGERS“.
