Denham Springs Antique Village Christmas Open House

Saturday November 29th, 2014 from 9 am until 5 pm is the annual Christmas Open House for the Denham Springs Antique Village, here on Range Avenue. Refreshments served, and free pictures with Santa Claus at Old City Hall. At 2 pm the library will perform a Christmas puppet show. Huge sales throughout the village. See you there!

2013 CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts Mardi Gras Parade in Baton Rouge Louisiana

Sunday, January 27th 2013 the annual CAAWS Mardi Gras Parade will be held. This much loved parade’s theme will be Totally Paw-Some 80’s. Come join the fun and watch, or enter, as the parade goes up and down North Blvd in downtown Baton Rouge.

Warrior Dash in Denham Springs 13Oct12

Benefiting St Jude, the 5k run Warrior Dash will be held at Tiki Tube,  33203 Hwy 1019, Denham Springs, LA on Saturday – October 13th 2012. come out and support St Jude at the festival. Cary is in the 8:30 run take off.

The run is 3.11 miles with obstacles. Come join the fun and pull for Cary!

October Fall Festival in Denham Springs LA ~ October 6th 2012

The Fall Festival will be held here on Range Avenue in the Denham Springs Antique Village District Saturday, October 6, 2012 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Over 150 vendor booths will line our streets.  To get here take the  I-12 exit #10, then go north about 2 miles. Or, come straight down Florida Blvd from Baton Rouge.

The Denham Springs Antique District will have more detailed information on this even as the time nears.  We can’t wait for some Fall Fun!

WHERE’S WALDO will be in Denham Springs, LA’s Antique District during July 2012

Join the fun as the iconic children’s character, Waldo, tours Denham Springs Antique District. This year he turns twenty-five, and will be in various shops, including Taste of Louisiana Cafe’s restaurant.

Come help us celebrate his 25th birthday. When you find Waldo in the scavenger hunt you will qualify for prizes. This event is hosted by our neighbor, Cavalier House Books.

2012 CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts Mardi Gras Parade in Baton Rouge Louisiana

The Good, The Bad & and The Furry is the theme for this years CAAWS (Capital Area Animal Welfare Society) Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade in Baton Rouge, LA.  Sunday January 29, 2012 from 10:00AM till 4:00PM. Owners with their dogs will be in this Mardi Gras parade.

If you’ve never been to one, this parade is a favorite. Anyone can enter with their dog and all profits go directly to support the CAAWS shelter.

Chef’s Evening in Denham Springs, Louisiana ~ Antique District

2012’s annual Chef’s Evening and Wine Tasting Event will be held on November 29, 2012.

Last year’s event was a great success. We met a lot of new people. Thanks to Republic Wine Company for donating Cupcake Chardonnay and Red Velvet wines.  Everyone loved the flavors combined with our seafood stuffed potato and sweet potato bread pudding with praline sauce.

Tickets went on sale Saturday, October 29th, 2011 for the annual Chef’s Evening in the Antique District. The event was held on December 1st, 2011, and featured different restaurants setting up in  establishments all along the Antique District on Range Avenue, here in downtown Denham Springs.

The $25 tickets were very popular. Only 300 were sold. It was great seeing all of you, and we look forward to next year’s event.

There will be antiques, art, crafts, handmade items, food, music and much more.

Playing at noon will be Ben Bell and the Stardust Boys, then from 1-2pm, King Creole Band. From 2-4pm Floyd Brown’s Band will be preforming at the Train Station Park.
