The Good, The Bad & and The Furry is the theme for this years CAAWS (Capital Area Animal Welfare Society) Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade in Baton Rouge, LA. Sunday January 29, 2012 from 10:00AM till 4:00PM. Owners with their dogs will be in this Mardi Gras parade.
If you’ve never been to one, this parade is a favorite. Anyone can enter with their dog and all profits go directly to support the CAAWS shelter.

Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade took place yesterday in Baton Rouge. Todd Suprun’s dogs – Abby and Lacie of Denham Springs, won the costume-and-float competition, reported by THE ADVOCATE.
Donna Douglas, also known as Elly May Clampett, in the television show “The Beverly Hillbillies,” threw beads from a car. It was an honor to have Donna Douglas participate in this local event.
The theme this year was “Pawraiders of the Lost Bark“. You can see 2009 parade photos of this event on the CAAWS website.

Beavers built some dams which flooded this area and allowed these Shreveport, Louisiana residents to paddle through the woods. Flooded Bottomland on Cross Lake Bayou area.
These Louisiana dogs have got it good.
